He was alone in the crowd.
An island in the sea of humanity that pressed in on every side.
The mass of people flowed around him. As they did around other immovable obstacles in their path.
Behind dark glasses his eyes scanned the crowd. Would he find friend or foe, lover or adversary, confidant or adversary?
Who would be missed? And more importantly, who would not?
There! Out of the corner of his eye he glimpsed his quarry. His heart beat faster and his adrenaline surged.
The hunt was on. Soon dinner would be served.
